OverWitch ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Overwolf application.

1.1 Information You Provide
- BattleTag: If you choose to import your profile stats, you provide your Overwatch 2 BattleTag
- Settings and Preferences: Your app customization settings and notification preferences
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Match Data: We store your match history locally on your device, including heroes played, win/loss results, match duration, and game mode
- Usage Statistics: Basic app usage metrics (features used, windows opened) for improving performance
- Technical Data: Overwolf platform version, app version for compatibility purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide counter-pick suggestions and tactical advice during gameplay
- Display your match history, win rates, and performance analytics
- Customize your app experience based on your settings
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Develop new features based on usage patterns
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
All your match history, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Overwolf's secure FileSystem API. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.
3.2 Third-Party Services
- OverFast API: If you use profile import, your BattleTag is sent to OverFast API (a public Overwatch 2 statistics service) to fetch your match history. This is a one-time request initiated by you.
- Overwolf Platform: The app runs on Overwolf, which has its own Privacy Policy
4. Discord Rich Presence
If you enable Discord Rich Presence (optional), the following information is shared with Discord:
- Current hero you're playing
- Current map and game mode
- Match statistics (kills, deaths, assists)
You can disable this feature at any time in Settings → General → Discord Rich Presence.
5. Cookies and Tracking
OverWitch does not use cookies or tracking technologies. We do not collect any personal identifiable information (PII) beyond what you voluntarily provide.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- At your request: When you explicitly use features like profile import or Discord integration
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our legal rights
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: All your data is stored locally and accessible through the app's interface
- Delete: You can delete your match history from Settings → Data Management
- Export: You can export your match history as JSON from Settings → Data Management
- Opt-out: You can disable optional features like Discord Rich Presence at any time
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control. No server requests needed for access, deletion, or export.
8. Children's Privacy
OverWitch is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, if significant, by publishing a notification on our website or in the app.
