Welcome to OverWitch. By downloading, installing, or using our Overwolf application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OverWitch, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the application.
2. Description of Service
OverWitch is a tactical companion application for Overwatch 2 that provides:
- Counter-pick suggestions between rounds and on respawn
- Match history tracking and analytics
- Hero performance statistics
- Discord Rich Presence integration (optional)
- Premium features available via subscription
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use OverWitch. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the application. By using OverWitch, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. License to Use
4.1 Grant of License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use OverWitch for your personal, non-commercial use.
4.2 Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the application
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the application
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the application
5. User Conduct and Compliance
5.1 Blizzard Terms of Service
You are solely responsible for complying with Blizzard's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. OverWitch is designed to be fully compliant with Blizzard's rules:
- We use only the official Overwolf API—no memory reading or game file modification
- Suggestions are provided only between rounds and on respawn, never during active combat
- All counter-pick information is publicly available knowledge
5.2 Fair Play
While OverWitch provides tactical advice, you acknowledge that:
- The application does not automate gameplay or provide real-time in-combat assistance
- Success in Overwatch 2 depends on your skill, teamwork, and game knowledge
- OverWitch is a tool for learning and strategy, not a guarantee of victory
6. Premium Subscription
6.1 OverWitch Plus
OverWitch offers an optional premium subscription ("OverWitch Plus") with additional features:
- Ad-free experience
- Minimize to Tray functionality
- Future premium-only features
6.2 Billing and Cancellation
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually (as selected). You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
7. Intellectual Property
OverWitch, including its code, design, logo, and all related materials, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "Overwatch" and all related marks are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
OverWitch is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Accuracy or reliability of suggestions and statistics
- Compatibility with future game updates
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or game progress
- Account suspensions or bans (though OverWitch is designed to be compliant)
- Damage to your computer or device
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the application shall not exceed the amount you paid for OverWitch Plus in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $10 if you use the free version).
10. Service Disruptions
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue OverWitch (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation. Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Overwatch 2 game updates (Overwolf API updates required)
- Maintenance or technical issues
- Requests from Blizzard Entertainment
11. Third-Party Services
OverWitch integrates with third-party services:
- Overwolf: Subject to Overwolf's Terms
- Discord (optional): Subject to Discord's Terms
- OverFast API (profile import): Subject to their terms
We are not responsible for these third-party services.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, if significant, by notifying you in-app or via email. Continued use of OverWitch after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to OverWitch immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the application ceases, but these Terms (including sections 7-9) shall survive.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the application shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].
